The Province of New Brunswick has adopted a child- and youth-centred Integrated Service Delivery (ISD) framework, intended to improve services and programs to children and youth deemed at-risk or having complex social, emotional, physical and/or mental-health needs. A Provincial Training Framework has been developed by Dr. Patricia Peterson and Dr. Bill Morrison of the University of New Brunswick's Health and Education Research Group to prepare interdisciplinary teams for the delivery of services to children and youth.

The vision of ISD is to ensure the positive growth and development of at-risk children and youth as well as those with complex needs, through the collective impact of its partners working together in an integrated manner and with a child or youth-centered approach to develop and implement appropriate interventions based on the strengths, needs and risks of identified children and youth.

Provincial Child and Youth Team training is undertaken to ensure awareness and understanding of the ISD Framework and approach. The training program consists of six online modules:

Module 1: ISD Framework
Module 2: Strength-based Perspectives and Practices
Module 3: Child and Youth Team Practices
Module 4: Student Profiles and School Environments
Module 5: Assessment and Data Collection Processes
Module 6: Summary Practices: Anxiety, Depression and Behaviour
Module 7: Problem Substance Use
